Public school officials tried to tell a homeschooler she wasn't
allowed to complete two grade levels in one year. We explained that
their objection had no legal basis, and that homeschoolers often
outpace their peers.

2. Germany: Authorities Threaten to Deport Homeschooling Missionaries

Not content to harass citizens who homeschool, German authorities
recently tried to deny residency to American missionaries just because
they are home educators.

3. Illinois: School District Demands Homeschoolers Fill Out Unlawful
Forms

Home School Legal Defense Association intervened when one public
school district mailed forms seeking information they had no legal
basis for requesting.

4. Colorado: Homeschooler Finally Receives Speech Therapy

At the urging of HSLDA, officials in a Colorado public school district
have agreed to honor their obligation to provide speech therapy to a
homeschooler.

5. Ohio: Curfew in Colerain Reportedly 'Passed without Opposition'

Colerain Township passed a daytime curfew, which, despite exemptions
for homeschoolers, may result in harassment and unreasonable
restrictions.
