-> Can you look at the clouds and tell the direction of the wind?

An interesting phenomenon of wind is that it can blow in multiple
directions at the same time, at different heights from the ground.
But usually there is a prevailing wind. HSLDA watches the gusts
and monitors the prevailing trends of change in the legal climate
of home education. So no matter which way the wind is blowing,
we're there to protect your family.

complying with the law.

5. West Virginia: Wood County Corrects Error

6. Special Needs Snippet: Right Start for the Day

A child must be in the right frame of mind in order for learning to
take place. If your child is still "hanging onto" yesterday's worries
and woes, he will not be available for today's teaching. Direct his
attention to these Scriptures: 1 Peter 5:7 "Casting all your care on
Him, for He careth for you." Philippians 4:6, 7 "Be anxious for
nothing . . . and the peace of God . . . will guard your hearts and
minds. . ." Philippians 3: 13.14 ". . . forgetting those things which
are behind. . . . "

Read aloud to him biographies (children's versions) of God's servants
such as Hudson Taylor, Amy Carmichael, George Mueller, Brother Andrew,
and many others. Christian bookstores and YWAM Publishing sell these
books.

7. Executive Director Sought for 'Bible Bee' Program

The Shelby Kennedy Foundation is seeking an executive director to
deliver the vision and manage the development of a "National Bible
Bee" for children, 7-18. The Shelby Kennedy Foundation partners with
Patrick Henry College and other organizations to expand youths'
knowledge of the Holy Bible through scripture memorization. The
executive director will report to the president of the foundation.
