Friends of the Home School Foundation,
The Home School Foundation is in the middle of its busiest season as
homeschool families begin to prepare for the next school year. We
appreciate all your prayers as we try to help as many people as
possible and be used by the Lord to spread hope and peace of mind to
needy homeschoolers.

HSF Annual Report and Audited Financial Statements Online
The 2006-2007 fiscal year was monumental for the Foundation with over
a million dollars raised, a rise in international giving, and help
going to more families than ever before. To get a glimpse of what God

HSF has also put our 2006-2007 Audited Financial Statements online for
anyone interested in seeing how HSF is handling the money you donate.
To help fulfill our commitment to maintaining standards of
accountability and integrity, the Foundation is independently audited
each year to ensure that we are in compliance with current accounting
and auditing standards, and that we are accurately reporting financial

Contest Updates
HSLDA's homeschool contests are going through some changes, most
notably in scheduling. This fall, HSLDA will announce all four of its
contests at once, each with different submission dates. The contests
will now be held quarterly, and students will have more time to work
on their submissions. The first contest in the new schedule will be
for essays, with a November 1 deadline.
Be sure to keep checking the HSLDA contest webpage
(www.hslda.org/contests) throughout August for more information as it
is revamped to help these contests grow and make them even more of a
learning experience for students!
The proceeds from all HSLDA's contests go to HSF's Special Needs
Children Fund (http://www.hslda.org/elink.asp?id=4296) to help
homeschooling families with the expenses of private special
educational services.
