====================================================================== From the HSLDA E-lert Service... ====================================================================== HSLDA--Several Job Openings Available Dear HSLDA Members and Friends: Home School Legal Defense Association and a related organization, ParentalRights.org, have several job openings available for qualified applicants. HSLDA seeks a human resources assistant to work part-time performing clerical, support and research duties. HSLDA also seeks to hire a third part-time coordinator to assist members with special needs children. ParentalRights.org, working in partnership with HSLDA to direct a campaign for a parental rights amendment to the U.S. Constitution, seeks a full-time deputy director. HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT This approximately 20 hour per week position involves researching and implementing new initiatives, maintaining files, and serving as a backup for payroll, insurance invoicing, and other duties. SPECIAL NEEDS COORDINATOR HSLDA seeks to hire an additional special needs coordinator to address increasing requests from member families for help educating their special needs children. The position's 16 hour weekly schedule is flexible, allowing for some work to be performed at a private or home office. Qualified candidates need a minimum of a bachelor's degree in education with an emphasis in special education or learning disabilities. Ideal candidates will have had at least five years experience working with special needs children, with some experience working specifically with homeschoolers.
