Recently, two separate administrative rulings, one from the federal
government and one from the state of California, have helped secure
the legitimacy of the private-school option.

2. German Appeals Court Returns Custody of Homeschooled Girl to
Parents

A German appeals court in Bavaria set aside a lower court ruling that
had authorized the Youth Welfare Office in Erlangen Germany to retain
custody of 16-year-old homeschooler Melissa Busekros.

Help is available for students looking to improve their writing
skills. Patrick Henry College's Writing Mentor Program matches your
high school student with a PHC student or graduate who can act as
mentor for both fiction and nonfiction writing. PHC mentors can

tips, or edit papers.

4. Homeschooling Thru High School: Consider a Gap Year

Upon high school graduation, some teens may benefit from a gap or
