Indiana: Families Forced To Register Some public school officials have been insisting homeschoolers fill out a questionable form in order to register with the state. We are urging member families to contact HSLDA if they are asked to use this form or to register against their wishes. New York: Report to CPS Threatened (After Family Moves) Public school officials threatened to report a member family to social services after the family moved to another state. Arkansas: Definition of 'Home School' Changes On April 2, 2007, Governor Mike Beebe signed into law House Bill 2394, changing the definition of a "home school" in Arkansas. Alaska: Bill Would Raise Compulsory Attendance Age Senate Bill 14 is legislation which would raise the compulsory school attendance age in Alaska from 16 to 18.
