H.B. 1098 has passed the House and the Senate Committee on Health and Human Services. Thank you for your calls! The bill will soon be voted on by the full Senate. This bill would rescind Governor Rick Perry's executive order requiring the vaccination of 11-year-old girls against the human papillomavirus (HPV), a sexually transmitted disease. Your calls are needed to ensure passage by a margin that would overcome a gubernatorial veto. ACTION REQUESTED: Please call your State senator and give this message: "Immunization against HPV should not be required for a child's admission to school. Let parents decide what is best for their children. Please vote for H.B. 1098, to rescind Governor Perry's executive order."
