HSLDA: Two Job Openings

Dear HSLDA members and friends:

Home School Legal Defense Association has two positions to fill. One
is a part-time position for a Special Needs Coordinator and the other
is for a full-time Marketing Project Manager.

If you know someone who might be interested and who fits the criteria,
please feel free to forward this information to him or her.

MARKETING PROJECT MANAGER

HSLDA is looking for a project manager with a strong marketing
background. This person will be responsible for researching,
implementing, and evaluating membership promotions and related
business opportunities.

The Marketing Project Manager will be a part of the HSLDA Marketing
Committee and will report directly to the president.

Qualified candidates will need a minimum of a bachelor's degree in
business or marketing, with several years of experience in marketing.
Must have strong project management skills. Candidate must be a
dedicated Christian and share a passion for the mission of the
organization.

Job atmosphere is fast-paced, varied, often challenging, and requires
an ability to work effectively with multiple departments in managing
projects.

Position is mid-level management, full-time, and on-site. Salary will
be commensurate with experience and skills. Full paid benefits
included.

SPECIAL NEEDS COORDINATOR

HSLDA serves its members who have children with varying special needs.
Currently, we have two Special Needs Coordinators who each work
part-time in this capacity.

To address an increasing volume of telephone calls and emails coming
from homeschooling parents of children with special needs, HSLDA is
searching for another Special Needs Coordinator to help respond to
these families.

This will be a part-time position requiring approximately 16 hours a
week. The work schedule is somewhat flexible. Some of the work will
need to be done in the HSLDA office, but part of it can be done
remotely.

Qualified candidates will need a minimum of a bachelor's degree in
education with an emphasis in special education or learning
disabilities. Ideal candidates will have had at least five years
experience working with children with special needs with some
experience working specifically with homeschoolers. Good communication
and listening skills are also a necessity.

Candidates must be able to work with the other coordinators; at times
being flexible enough to rearrange their own schedules to meet
immediate, pressing job-related demands.

The candidate should also have solid computer skills in working with
Microsoft Word and Excel, doing research on the Internet, and entering
records into a database.

HSLDA is a Christian homeschooling organization that services many
Christian homeschoolers. Therefore, candidates need to be dedicated
Christians who are supportive of homeschooling.

Note that this is an exempt, part-time, hourly position which does not
include any company-paid benefits. This position is open immediately.

"When I called Liberty to find out what kind of discount we could
get, they told us we would 10% off our car insurance and 5% off
our homeowner's insurance. What we will save is more than double
what it costs to join HSLDA. With one child getting his driver's
license this year, the savings will be a real blessing!"
