====================================================================== From the HSLDA E-lert Service... ====================================================================== April 11, 2007 New Hampshire--Important News about the CheNH Convention Dear HSLDA members and friends, Happy Easter! We hope that wherever you are, spring is on its way! It has come to our attention that some of you have heard about the Presidential Leadership Forum being co-hosted by the Christian Home Educators of New Hampshire ("CheNH") and Home School Legal Defense Association at the CheNH Convention on April 13 and 14. We understand that some of you may not have registered for the event, thus not receiving additional important information. Due to the scheduling conflicts of some candidates during this presidential season, we are rescheduling this event for a date in the near future. In preparation for the upcoming Presidential Leadership Forum, Mike Farris will deliver a special address at the convention at approximately 4 p.m. His topic is "Parental Rights and the Threat of International Law." In addition to serving as Chairman of the Board of HSLDA, HSLDA Chief Counsel, and Chancellor of Patrick Henry College, Mike Farris is currently studying for an LLM in Public International Law through the University of London. His studies have further illuminated the threat of international law to American parents' rights. During his address, Mike Farris will explain this threat and what can be done to overcome it. We hope you will join us at the CheNH convention and come to hear Mike Farris's special address. We will keep you informed regarding the new date for the Presidential Leadership Forum. We appreciate your ongoing support, as it is critical to maintaining our freedoms to homeschool. The convention is being held at the Manchester First Assembly Church at 45 Myles Drive in Auburn, New Hampshire, just outside of Manchester. For more information about the convention, please see http://www.hslda.org/elink.asp?id=4010 . Additionally, on Saturday, at 8:30 a.m., I will be speaking on "Defending our Freedom." Please join us if you are able! Blessings to you and your family! Michael P. Donnelly, Esq. HSLDA Staff Attorney ---------------------------------------------------------------------- -> Extreme makeovers are for extreme circumstances... Most homeschools don't need an extreme makeover, but there is something to be said for attention to detail and recognition of accomplishments. Watch the media and you'll soon see that not everyone wants home educators and homeschooling to look good. HSLDA works hard to shed light on the good work of home educators so it's obvious that we don't need someone "making-over" our homeschools. Join HSLDA and help us show the world that we're fine as we are . . . thank you!
