Florida: Your Calls Helped Forestall Intrusive Legislation
Dear Florida members and friends,
Thank you for your calls! House Bill 277, which would have extended
the age of compulsory attendance from 16 to 18 years, was deferred in
the House Committee on 21st Century Competitiveness. The hearing and
vote did not take place as scheduled. We believe your calls
contributed to this delay.
We will keep close watch on any future devolvement on this bill. For
now you may discontinue calling; we will notify you if there is a
further need for calls later on.
