Trigonometry?'

A Missouri family was surprised at the level of intimidation they
faced from state officials who were investigating their homeschool.
When our attorney challenged the legal basis for the officials'
demands, the threats fell silent and the case eventually was
dismissed.

2. Ohio: Another Daytime Curfew Considered

Homeschoolers should be wary of daytime curfews, such as the one
reportedly being considered in Mansfield, Ohio. Daytime curfews
violate constitutional freedoms and can curtail your ability to
homeschool.

3. French Victory: HSLDA Helps Defeat 'Draconian' Legislation

French homeschooling families won an important legal battle for their
rights when two amendments to limit homeschooling were withdrawn from
a bill in the French Parliament in early January.

4. Patrick Henry College Moves Along Path Toward Accreditation

An on-site review of Patrick Henry College by the Transnational
Association of Christian Colleges and Schools concluded Wednesday,
January 24, with an encouraging, far-reaching institutional
assessment, completing a pivotal step leading to the TRACS Commission
accreditation meeting in late April.
