====================================================================== From the HSLDA E-lert Service... ====================================================================== January 26, 2007 New Hampshire--Calls and Testimony Needed to Support Definition of Marriage Dear HSLDA members and friends, Because the fundamental right of parents to homeschool is based on a traditional interpretation of the family, this is relevant to homeschoolers and should be supported. On January 4, 2007, CACR1, sponsored by Representatives Dumaine, Headd, Itse, Elliot, and Boyce, was introduced in the New Hampshire Legislature. This bill would allow New Hampshire citizens to vote in November 2008 on whether to amend the New Hampshire Constitution to define marriage as a union between one man and one woman. This bill has been referred to the Judiciary Committee and scheduled for a hearing on Thursday, February 1, 2007, at 10 a.m. in the Representatives Hall. Your calls and testimony to the members of the committee are needed to support this proposed constitutional amendment.
