school officials tried to collect the family's homeschooling
registration information. The officials backed down after we called
them and explained the law.

3. Vermont: Special Education Students Assisted

When a pair of families felt overwhelmed in trying to withdraw their

school officials inexplicably threatened him with truancy charges. One
