HSLDA was successful in ensuring that protections for home-educated students remained in the bill sent to the President for his expected signature. Letters of Recommendation for your High Schooler Letters of recommendation are often requested by prospective employers or college admissions officers. Your teen should ask employers or teachers who know them well for a letter as soon as the job, internship, or class is completed rather than waiting until years later when the recommendation letter may be needed. Give the letter writer plenty of lead time and a suggested deadline.
