2. Washington Times Op-ed--Patrick Henry College Gains Notice

Patrick Henry College, founded in 2000, just celebrated its fifth
graduation on its Purcellville, Va., campus. The 49 graduates received
bachelor's degrees.

3. Dr. Farris Appears on NPR's 'Fresh Air'

In a wide-ranging, hour-long interview on National Public Radio's
daily "Fresh Air" magazine, May 24, outgoing Patrick Henry College
President (soon-to-be Chancellor), Dr. Michael Farris, fielded a range
of hot-button questions familiar to listeners on both sides of the
cultural divide.

4. Tennessee: Hamblen County Adds Requirements

This past spring a homeschooling family moving from North Carolina to
Tennessee encountered problems with their new school district in
Hamblen County.

5. South Carolina: Immunization Tracking Bill Passes Senate

Senate Bill 1046, legislation which would establish a state
immunization registry for South Carolina children, passed the Senate
in April. Home School Legal Defense Association opposes this type of
legislation.

6. Connecticut: Wethersfield District Says Notice of Intent Mandatory

Home School Legal Defense Association assisted a member family during
the 2005-2006 school year after the assistant superintendent of
Wethersfield public schools insisted that the family file a notice of
intent form developed by the local school district.

7. Learn Constitutional Law with Michael Farris

8. 'Home School Heartbeat': The Heart of Homeschooling

For homeschooling parents, a tight budget or the death of a spouse
might spell the end of their homeschool. That's why HSLDA launched the
Home School Foundation to assist eligible families with curriculum
costs, special needs services, and general financial aid. This week,
Mike Smith describes how homeschoolers are helping one another through
HSF.
