====================================================================== From the HSLDA E-lert Service... ====================================================================== February 10, 2006 Dear HSLDA members and friends: We have learned some important information about the Education Tax Credit Rally that we think you should know. It is extremely important that as many people as possible attend this rally. As previously mentioned, the New York Legislature is considering Education Tax Credit legislation that would permit families to receive up to a $3,500 tax credit per child against their New York State income taxes. The sponsors of Senate Bill 1939 and Assembly Bill 8203 are holding a rally in support of this bill and school choice in general. The sponsors of these bills expect a significant turnout from the private school community and would like as many homeschool families to attend as possible. This will demonstrate that these bills have broad appeal and help encourage their passage. Let's demonstrate that homeschoolers are just as passionate about school choice. If you are able to attend the rally and help S.B 1939 and A.B 8203 gain momentum please be at the east steps of the Capitol Building on February 14 at noon. Your support is needed and the legislature needs to hear from us. ACTION REQUESTED: 1) Please attend the Education Tax Credit and School Choice Rally on February 14 in Albany. The rally will begin at noon on the east steps of the Capitol Building.
