====================================================================== From the HSLDA E-lert Service... ====================================================================== February 2, 2006 Dear HSLDA members and friends: Homosexuals and others who oppose a constitutional amendment to define marriage as between one man and one woman are waging a fierce lobbying effort to defeat House Bill 2381 in Pennsylvania. As a result, even some of the co-sponsors of this bill are wavering in their support of this proposal to protect the institution of marriage. Members of the Pennsylvania Senate and House of Representatives need to know that homeschooling families support this legislation. House Bill 2381 would not only prohibit same-sex marriage but also any form of civil union or domestic partnership between homosexuals. This bill is presently in the House Committee on State Government. Your communication to the members of the Committee will greatly encourage them to send this bill on to the full House for a vote. Please join in this fight to preserve the traditional definition of marriage and family in Pennsylvania. Contact members of the House Committee on State Government and your own state senator and representative today! Action Requested: (1) Please call or write (both would be better) at least one member of the House Committee on State Government and your own state senator and representative with this message: "Please support House Bill 2381, the Marriage Protection Amendment, which would preserve traditional marriage by defining it as between one man and one woman."
