-> Can you look at the clouds and tell the direction of the wind?

An interesting phenomenon of wind is that it can blow in multiple
directions at the same time, at different heights from the ground.
But usually there is a prevailing wind. HSLDA watches the gusts
and monitors the prevailing trends of change in the legal climate
of home education. So no matter which way the wind is blowing,
we're there to protect your family.

1. There's No Place Like Home

Much concern has been expressed by conservative groups across the
nation over a recent decision by the U.S. Court of Appeals, Ninth
Circuit, in San Francisco. In the case of "Fields v. Palmdale School
District," Circuit Judge Reinhardt, writing for the court, ruled
against the fundamental constitutional right of parents to direct the
upbringing and the education of their children.

2. Texas - Case Dismissed Against Homeschool Family

The Stone family had their child in public school in Potter County,
Texas, but began homeschooling at the beginning of the 2005-06 school
year. Consequently, the family did not re-register their child in the
public school or enroll him. This led to a court order for the family
to appear before a judge.
