====================================================================== From the HSLDA E-lert Service... ====================================================================== Wyoming--Building Effective Citizens Dear HSLDA members and friends: For the last few years, HSLDA has been monitoring the Wyoming legislature very carefully. During legislative season, we have worked closely with WyWatch, a group of Wyoming homeschoolers in the Cheyenne area who have rallied to fight for family freedoms. An important part of WyWatch's ongoing mission is to train Christian and/or conservative citizens near Cheyenne to be effective political activists. WyWatch has teamed up with Sister Ambassadors of Light and Truth (S.A.L.T.) to offer three training videos for families that want to become more active as citizens. This training session is designed to equip citizens to respond to the new court case that struck the words "under God" from the Pledge of Allegiance. WyWatch and S.A.L.T. both believe that God was part of our country's foundation and should remain the focus of our culture and thus a strong part of our government. On Saturday, October 8th at 10:30 a.m, they will present the following videos: "One Nation Under God" by Coral Ridge Ministries "Keys to Good Government" by Wallbuilder's David Barton "Foundations of American History" by Summit Ministries There will also be a question and answer session after the videos are shown. If you have concerns, questions, or comments about the upcoming legislative session, or the elections of 2006, come and share your ideas and concerns. This event will be held at Cheyenne's Little America Hotel, in the "Rouge Room." Registration (including lunch) costs $10.00 per person. Please RSVP by October 1st, 2005 with your choice of Hot Turkey or Hot Roast Beef Sandwich. Make checks payable to "Little America" and mail your checks to WyWatch, P.O.
