Once again we are very thankful for your calls. We believe you made the difference. However, due to a miscommunication, we were not accurate when we explained that a lawsuit had been threatened against the Governor. This did not happen. Neither the Governor nor the Lieutenant Governor was involved or even aware of the problem. Also, Michael J. Norton was a former U.S. Attorney for Colorado, not U.S. Attorney General for the United States. HSLDA extends a formal apology to Mr. Norton, who caught these inaccuracies, and his family for our misstatements in our "E-lert" to our members on August 22, 2005. Rest assured, the victory in Colorado regarding parent-taught driver education is secured.
