====================================================================== From the HSLDA E-lert Service... ====================================================================== Reminder - Virginia Test, Evaluation or Assessment Results Due Monday, August 1 Dear HSLDA members and friends: If you filed a notice of intent to provide home instruction last year, your local superintendent will be expecting you to provide him with a test, evaluation or assessment by Monday, August 1, the date established under law. If you submit a standardized test, and your student's composite score for math and language arts is at the 23rd percentile (4th stanine) or higher, this is automatically considered satisfactory. If your child does not score at the 23rd percentile, we recommend that you do not submit the score and find an evaluator instead. Families under the religious exemption are not required to file a notice of intent to provide home instruction and are not required to submit a year-end test, evaluation or assessment.
