Constitutional Law Online with Michael Farris begins Sept. 6--Register Today

From the HSLDA E-lert Service...

Dear HSLDA members and friends:

Registration is now open for the Fall semester of Constitutional Law
Online, taught by Michael Farris, Chairman and General Counsel of
HSLDA and President of Patrick Henry College.

The class will begin September 6, 2005, concluding on February 19,
2006. If you've always wanted to learn more about the history and
background of our legal system, from a biblical perspective, or if
you're looking for a good U.S. government class for your homeschooled
students, then
this class is for you.

This 18-week Internet-based course is now offered with a brand new
textbook. Last year's text, Constitutional Law for Christian Students,
has been updated to include material on some of the Supreme Court's
most recent decisions and more material demonstrating the original
intentions of the founders.

To supplement the course material, students will also listen to
"classroom" lectures with a computer-based audio CD-ROM. The syllabus,
posted on the class home page, lists the reading and listening
assignments for each week and offers a flexible schedule for homework.
Every two weeks, students can participate in a live chat-room
discussion--hosted by Michael Farris--to pose their questions and
discuss the material. Twice during the class, students will submit
essay exams for grading. A certificate of participation will be
awarded to all students at the end of the class.

Tuition is just $200. To register, please visit the class website at

We don't know! But we do know that gathering little by little
enables ordinary folks to prepare for hard times. That principle
is behind HSLDA's payment plan: by paying a month at a time,
families can receive an annual HSLDA membership. Meanwhile, they
can feel secure as they homeschool and focus on other priorities
-their children. Don't go nuts trying to pay for membership all at
once. Choose one of our convenient payment plans.
