However, the Governor signed a bill that will give families in Washington greater protection from overzealous soical workers. Mississippi - Senate Bill Extending Compulsory Attendance Requirement Dies The Mississippi legislature considered six bills this year to make changes to the compulsory school attendance age, which would have given the state more control over children.
