====================================================================== From the HSLDA E-lert Service... ====================================================================== May 3, 2005 New York--Please Call Today During Homeschool Rally Dear HSLDA members and friends: As we notified you earlier Loving Education At Home (LEAH) has scheduled a Homeschool Rally today, Tuesday, May 3, 2005, for homeschool families to gather at the Capitol and let their voices be heard. The theme this year is "Homeschooling Works!" LEAH has asked those families who are not able to attend the Homeschool Rally to call the legislators listed below to urge them to support Senate Bill 3641 which will make homeschool regulations less burdensome. Please call today between 2:30-5:00 p.m. this afternoon and tomorrow. Thank you for taking a stand for freedom. ACTION REQUESTED 1) Please call as many of the Senators listed below between 2:30-5:00 p.m. today and any time tomorrow. You can give them this message: "Please vote for Senate Bill 3641 which will relieve public school officials and homeschooling parents from burdensome and costly administrative tasks. Home educators have earned the right to regulatory relief after demonstrating their overwhelming success under the current law for the past 15 years. This bill must be passed. We need relief."
