Gracías por su consideración. --------------------------------------------------- Esta es una ALERTA En la Cámara de Representantes se está considerando un Proyecto de Ley (P. de la C. 1206) para requerir una certificación de escuela para que las personas menores de 16 años puedan obtener su licencia de guiar. Este Proyecto tiene como propósito reducir la deserción escolar. El mencionado Proyecto está en etapa de vistas públicas en la Comisión de Transportación e Infraestructura. El Representante Cristobal Colón es el presidente de esa Comisión y el director es el Sr. Oscar Santamaría. ACCIÓN Llamar a la Comisión para oponerse a dicho Proyecto por los siguiente motivos: 1- El Proyecto, de convertirse en ley, no permitiría a nuestros hijos obtener su licencia al cumplir los 16 años. 2- Esa ley obligaría a compartir la autoridad de los muchachos de 16 años con las autoridades escolares. 3- Si la legislatura determina convertir este Proyecto en ley, debería incluir una excepción para los muchachos que se educan en el hogar. Hay otros motivos para oponerse, pero los más importantes son: 1- No hay estadísticas exactas sobre la deserción escolar. En otras palabras, no se ha determinado cuanta deserción escolar hay, ¿cuántos son los desertores? 2- No hay un método para determinar cuanto se reduciría la deserción mediante la implementación de esta Ley. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- -> Can you look at the clouds and tell the direction of the wind?
