====================================================================== From the HSLDA E-lert Service... ====================================================================== February 18, 2005 Utah--Update-Homeschool Freedom Bill Passes Senate Dear HSLDA members and friends: Senate Bill 59, which would greatly increase homeschool freedom in Utah, has now passed the Senate unanimously! Twenty six Senators voted for it, and there was not a single "no" vote. This bill is moving forward very quickly, but we need to be ready to continue to give it the support it needs to pass the House of Representatives. If it passes, it will transform Utah from being one of the three remaining "approval" states and make it one of the best states in the nation for homeschoolers. ACTION REQUESTED Please contact all of your friends that are interested in promoting homeschool freedoms. Let them know this terrific news, and ask them to sign up for HSLDA's E-lert service.
