====================================================================== From the HSLDA E-lert Service... ====================================================================== November 15, 2004 Action Alert - Please Keep Calling - Oppose Senator Arlen Specter for Chairman Dear HSLDA members and friends: Republican members of the Senate Judiciary Committee have yet to signal whether they will oppose or support Senator Arlen Specter for the position of Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman. We need your help to convince them to OPPOSE Senator Specter. The Judiciary Committee will be meeting this week (Tuesday, November 16) to discuss a new Chairman - so time is of the essence. Please call your Senator if he is listed below at his main district office and again in his Washington, D.C. office. Please give them the following message. "Be true to your conservative principles and vote AGAINST Senator Arlen Specter for Chairman of the Judiciary Committee. Vote for a chairman that will embrace judges who believe in the original meaning of the constitution and not in judicial activism."
