Vote for a chairman that will embrace judges who believe in the original meaning of the constitution and not in judicial activism." Senator Arlen Specter (PA) is slated to take this position because of his seniority. However, Senator Specter has generally opposed judicial nominees who stand for the original meaning of the Constitution. In the fight against judicial tyranny, President Bush has promised to nominate justices that believe in the original intent of the Constitution. However, Senator Specter has suggested that he will stop those nominees he does not agree with. To stop judicial tyranny and defend our fundamental freedoms, we need judges who will be faithful to the U.S. Constitution. HSLDA is urging the Senate Judiciary Committee Republicans and the Republican Senate Leadership to seat a chairman who will not obstruct judicial nominees that are believers in original intent.
