====================================================================== From the HSLDA E-lert Service... ====================================================================== September 3, 2004 Last Month For Voter Registration Drives Dear HSLDA Friends and Members, The elections are just two months away. If you have not yet approached your pastor about conducting a voter registration drive at your church, there is only a few more weeks left to accomplish this important civic task. I want to personally thank those of you who have already made the effort to conduct voter registration drives. Since our initial e-mail, hundreds of homeschool families have signed up at the Generation Joshua website are participating as coordinators in our voter registration efforts. Just a few days ago, we received a phone call from one mother who was able to conduct voter registration drives at 20 churches. One of Generation Joshua's top students has personally registered over 100 new voters. As a result of these efforts, thousands who were not previously registered can now vote in the 2004 Elections. Most states have a voter registration deadline of 25 to 35 days before elections. Therefore, I would encourage each of you to do every thing in your power to conduct a voter registration drive at your church on one of the four remaining Sunday morning services in the month of September.
