Only by working together can we defend homeschool freedom and keep the cost of membership low. We want to let you know that there will soon be an event in your area on June 25th & 26th. The CHEF Home Educators Conference will be held at Friendship Baptist Church, 14100 East 86th Street North, Owasso, OK. HSLDA Senior Counsel, Chris Klicka will be the keynote speaker for this year's conference. Chris will be speaking on the "Heart of Homeschooling, Teaching and Living What Really Matters." He will also present two workshops one on "A Challenge to Homeschool Fathers, Understanding Suffering in the Midst of Homeschooling" as well as "Balancing Your Work and Life Responsibility." Again this year, we are offering a special incentive for new members. First-time members who join HSLDA at the CHEF Home Educators Conference will receive a free book. Invite three of your friends to come to the conference and sign up as new members. If they note on their applications that you referred them, you'll receive a free year of membership when their memberships are approved! We are also excited to announce our new "Join for Two" and "Renew for Two" promotions to encourage both new and current members to commit to two years of membership. When you choose to join or renew for two years at a conference, you may take home up to two items from HSLDA's book table with a combined value of up to $20.
