Dear HSLDA members and friends: On March 18, the Senate Education Committee gave its approval to a bill that will allow homeschool parents to teach driver education! HF 2394 now heads to the Senate floor, and if passed to the Governor's desk. After Virginia passed full parent-taught driver's education last year, my 17-year old was the first completely parent-taught teen to receive a driver's license through our local motor vehicle office. As Iowa homeschool families inch closer to the realization of their own vision, I can testify that parent-taught driver education is a blessing!
