====================================================================== From the HSLDA E-lert Service... ====================================================================== March 24, 2004 Pennsylvania--Announcement of CHAP HELP Day at the State Capitol Dear HSLDA members and friends: Monday, March 29, is the Home Education Lobby Program (HELP) Day at the Pennsylvania State Capitol! Home School Legal Defense Association and the Christian Homeschool Association of Pennsylvania (CHAP) encourage all homeschoolers to attend, as this is the best opportunity you will have during the 2004 legislative session to demonstrate your support for homeschooling to your state legislators. Several homeschool bills are currently being considered by the Senate and House, and this would also be a perfect time to express your opinion on these bills to your Senator and Representative. Information on the bills under consideration is available on our website at http://www.hslda.org/elink.asp?ID=1431 HELP Day will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Monday with an information session at Pine Street Presbyterian Church, and will then move to the Capitol Building at 10:00 a.m. for visits with legislators and a Capitol tour. In past years HELP Day has been a great success. We urge you to continue this tradition and show Pennsylvania legislators the tremendous support homeschooling enjoys in their state.
