Dear HSLDA members and friends: Your phone calls had an impact! Every amendment that Mary Mascher (D-77) tried to attach to the parent-taught driver's education bill was defeated on Tuesday! The House then passed the bill, HF 2394, by an overwhelming majority of 67 to 32. Iowa homeschool families are a big step closer to having the freedom to teach driver's education to their own children. No one cares for the safety of their children as much as the parents.
