====================================================================== From the HSLDA E-lert Service... ====================================================================== March 11, 2004 Colorado--Immunization Tracking Bill Defeated Dear HSLDA members and friends: An immunization notification bill, Senate Bill 139, was killed in a House committee yesterday. This bill would have authorized the department of public health, at the request of a health care provider, to directly contact parents for the purpose of notifying the parents of immunizations if immunizations were due or overdue as determined by the health care provider. The House Committee on Information and Technology voted to postpone the bill indefinitely. Credit goes to Treon Goossen, of Concerned Parents of Colorado for working to kill the bill, to Representative Kevin Lundberg for his help, and to all the homeschoolers who took time to call and voice their opposition to this bill.
