The bill is deeply flawed (see our Feb. 27 elert http://www.hslda.org/elink.asp?ID=1381), but we have asked Delegate Kelli Sobonya to propose an amendment that would fix the flaws. ACTION REQUESTED Please help by calling six key delegates on the Health and Human Resources Committee: Lidella Wilson Hrutkay: 304-340-3156 Mitch Carmichael: 304-340-3115 Richard Iaquinta: 304-340-3129 Dan Foster: 304-340-3135 Jack Yost: 304-340-3350 Barbara Hatfield: 304-340-3140 Your message may be as simple as "Please support the Sobonya Amendment to SB 439. Without the amendment, it is almost impossible for my own doctor to give my children a medical exemption. Without the amendment, deeply held moral convictions will be trampled on as children are forced to be injected with vaccines made using cells cultured from the bodies of aborted babies. Without it, the bill's sham religious exemption is doomed to be ruled unconstitutional. Without it, the bill invites judges to inflate the power of the state over the ordinary citizen."
