In the last two years, hundreds of homeschool students have
participated in Home School Legal Defense Association's Essay
Contest. Today, we are happy to announce the Third Annual Essay
Contest, and this year the contest is open to non-HSLDA members.

3. National Endowment for the Humanities Essay Contest

As part of NEH's We the People initiative, the Idea of America Essay
Contest encourages students to think and write analytically about
significant events and individuals in American history.

4. Another Step in the Right Direction

Back in January, HSLDA reported that the Winchester School District
had led the way in simplifying its homeschool forms to ask for only
what the law allows.

The Lewis* family homeschools in the Orlando area and they were
recently subjected to an investigation for child neglect.
