1. Minnesota District Confused About Student Status

Minnesota law requires homeschoolers and public school students to be
treated equally regarding extracurricular activities. An alert
homeschooler in Hector, Minnesota was therefore surprised to discover
that the Buffalo Lake- Hector School Board had decided to charge
homeschooled students $400 to take behind-the-wheel driver's ed
classes, while publicly-enrolled students would only pay $200.

2. Legislative Threat in Arizona

At an October meeting of the Arizona School Board Association, Graham
County Schools Superintendent Phyllis Bryce called for testing
homeschoolers every two years.
