---------------------------------------------------------------------- From the HSLDA E-lert Service... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Dear Coventry Area HSLDA Members and Friends: At least one Coventry homeschool family has received a second request from Dr. Hawkins to submit Coventry's "Home Instruction Agreement." Rhode Island law does not authorize school systems to require that parents enter an agreement as a precondition to homeschooling their children. We recommend that you DO NOT sign it. A notice of intent should be used instead at the beginning of the year. If you receive a second letter asking you to submit Coventry's "Home Instruction Agreement", please send it to me right away, together with all materials you submitted to Coventry.
