Only by working together can we defend homeschool freedom and keep the cost of membership low. We want to let you know that we will soon be at an event in your area on June 19, 20, and 21, 2003. The 19th Annual Christian Home Educators of Colorado (CHEC) Home Educators conference will be held at the Holiday Inn - Denver International Airport, 15500 East 40th Avenue, Denver. I will be speaking on "Remembering the Reason: Renewing the Vision," "The History of Homeschoolers' Struggle to be Free," "How to Overcome Fear of Failure," and "The Father's Role in Home Education." My wife Elizabeth will be offering workshops on "Leadership--and some of the pitfalls," "Balancing Home, Marriage, and Home Schooling," "Training the Soul of Your Child," and "Crisis Management and Marriage for the Long Term." Again this year, we are offering a special incentive for new members. First-time members who join HSLDA at the 19th Annual CHEC Home Educators conference will receive a free book. Invite three of your friends to come to the conference and sign up as new members. If they note on their applications that you referred them, you'll receive a free year of membership when their memberships are approved! We are also excited to announce our new "Join for Two" and "Renew for Two" promotions to encourage both new and current members to commit to two years of membership.
