---------------------------------------------------------------------- From the HSLDA E-lert Service... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- April 24, 2003 Dear HSLDA Members and Friends, Thank you for your loyalty and partnership with Home School Legal Defense Association. Only by working together can we defend homeschool freedom and keep the cost of membership low. We want to let you know that we will soon be at an event in your area on May 2 and 3, 2003. The Homeschoolers of Wyoming 2003 Convention will be held at the Holiday Inn Hotel, 1701 Sheridan Avenue, Cody. HSLDA Staff Attorney Scott W. Somerville will be speaking on "The Struggle to Be Free," "Principles for Principals," "Shepherding a Child's Heart," "What Wives Wish Their Husbands Knew about Home Schooling," and "The History and Future of American Education." He will also be holding a "Legal Questions & Answers Session." Again this year, we are offering a special incentive for new members. First-time members who join HSLDA at the Homeschoolers of Wyoming 2003 Convention will receive a free book. Invite three of your friends to come to the conference and sign up as new members. If they note on their applications that you referred them, you'll receive a free year of membership! We are also excited to announce our new "Join for Two" and "Renew for Two" promotions to encourage both new and current members to commit to two years of membership. When you choose to join or renew for two years at a conference, you may take home up to two items from HSLDA's book table with a combined value of up to $20.
