The Oregon Senate voted 20-9 in favor of Senate Bill 761 yesterday after an hour-long debate on the bill. Over 100 homeschoolers were able to attend the session and be involved in the legislative process. For all of you who called and urged your state senator to pass Senate Bill 761, your efforts helped bring about this positive vote for homeschool freedom. Senate Bill 761 now moves to the Oregon House of Representatives where it will first be considered by the House Education Committee. We will let you know when calls are needed for members of this Committee.
