Only by working together can we defend homeschool freedom and keep the cost of membership low. We want to let you know that we will soon be at an event in your area on April 4 and 5, 2003. The Upper Peninsula Home Educators Conference 2003 will be held at the United Evangelical Covenant Church, 305 South 9th Street, Gladstone. HSLDA Chairman and General Counsel Michael P. Farris will be speaking on "The Spiritual Power of a Mother," "Restoring American Values," "Homeschooling Fathers," and "Battle for Your Right to Homeschool." Again this year, we are offering a special incentive for new members. First-time members who join HSLDA at the Upper Peninsula Home Educators Conference 2003 will receive a free book. Invite three of your friends to come to the conference and sign up as new members. If they note on their applications that you referred them, you'll receive a free year of membership! We are also excited to announce our new "Join for Two" and "Renew for Two" promotions to encourage both new and current members to commit to two years of membership. When you choose to join or renew for two years at a conference, you may take home up to two items from HSLDA's book table with a combined value of up to $20.
