---------------------------------------------------------------------- From the HSLDA E-lert Service... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- February 24, 2003 Dear HSLDA Members and Friends, In our alert last Friday, we asked families to come to the state capitol on Tuesday to support Senate Bill 181, which would abolish the four-year rule. Lawmakers have a higher sense of accountability when the voters who put them in office are actually there watching them. Your presence tomorrow will make a tremendous difference. Here are additional details: ACTION REQUESTED If possible, please arrive by 10:30 and plan to stay until 2:00. Please assemble in front of the House Chamber at 10:45. We expect the House session to begin at 11:00 and end at 12:00. Also, if at all possible, please call your delegate (call 304-340- 3200 for the House Clerk) and make an appointment to meet with him or her either before 10:30 or after 12:00. This would give you an opportunity to ask him or her to support the bill. S.B. 181 is a tremendous opportunity to remove the unnecessary 4-year rule.
