3. Public Hearings Ended; Homeschoolers' Concerns Acknowledged

All information we have received indicates that the Illinois
governor's commission is abandoning its de facto registration for
homeschooled students and its lowering the compulsory attendance age.

4. New Homeschool Regulations in Nevada

At their meeting on September 14, 2002, the Nevada State Board of
Education officially began the process of writing new homeschool
regulations.
