2. New Mexico Prosecutor Targets Truants

District Attorney Kari Brandenburg has launched a campaign to "crack
down" on truancy in Bernalillo County. It's as yet unclear where
homeschoolers fall in Brandenburg's definition of "truant."

3. Utah School District Keeps Homeschooler Out of College

The Jordan School District in Utah has hit a new low in the long
running conflict between public schools and homeschoolers.

4. Louisiana Officials Want to "Tighten Up" on Homeschools

A Christian Home Educators Fellowship (CHEF) of Louisiana
representative attended a meeting with state legislators expecting to
offer constructive suggestions for improving Louisiana's truancy
laws. Instead, she was told they intend to "tighten up" on
homeschools.
