1. Home Schooling IS Legal in California

California Superintendent of Public Instruction, Delaine Eastin, sent
a letter to the California legislature this week saying home
schooling is not legal in California and asking the legislature to
pass a law regulating home schoolers. We need your help to stop this
from happening.

2. Bush Administration Opposes UN Children's Treaty

The Bush Administration has assured HSLDA that it has no plans to
pursue ratification of the flawed UN Convention on the Rights of the
Child.

3. Action Alert: End College Discrimination Permanently

HSLDA is working with the U.S. House Education and Workforce
Committee to pass H.R. 4866 containing language ending discrimination
for home schoolers seeking financial aid and college admission.

4. The Home School Foundation, An Interview with Chuck Hurst

Giving sacrificially comes naturally to home schoolers--the time and
energy they invest in their children's lives is good evidence. But
