---------------------------------------------------------------------- From the HSLDA E-lert Service... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Dear HSLDA Members and Friends, We want to invite you to attend a Constitutional Law Symposium with Mike Farris at the upcoming CHEA convention. Designed for teens who have an interest in law, this half-day session will cover such topics as: How We Got the Constitution and Why It Is Important; The Importance of Original Intent; Federal Power Grabs vs. Original Intent; Freedoms of Religion, Speech, and Association; and How to Regain our Constitutional Republic. Dr. Farris, founder and chairman of Home School Legal Defense Association and president of Patrick Henry College, has taught a Constitutional Law class online for many years, and has written a textbook for the study of Constitutional Law. In addition, Dr. Farris has had over twenty years of courtroom experience. This class is based on the popular Constitutional Law teen camp taught by Dr. Farris at Patrick Henry College last summer. The symposium will be held from 1:00 to 4:45 PM on Friday, July 12, in Room 200 A of the Ontario Convention Center. Both teens and parents are welcome to attend. This session costs $10 per student, with a $20 per family maximum. Registration will be at the door.
