---------------------------------------------------------------------- From Patrick Henry College... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- July 2002 Dear Prayer Partners, The summer is here. Most of the students have gone home to be with their families and friends, and to work. A good number of students remain on campus working. Some of those students are working as camp counselors for the summer camps. Three weeks of summer camps have been completed and several more weeks remain. Below are some other prayer requests. Thank you for your faithful prayer support. We depend upon the prayers of God's people for all that takes place here at PHC. Development Please pray for our financial needs. Sacrifices are being made on campus in an attempt to offset expenses. Please pray that the Lord will move on the hearts of people to give, since we depend on the generous gifts of our donors. Faculty Please pray for the new faculty that are making plans to move into the area. Pray that their transition will be smooth, and that they will find places to live that will suit their families. Library The library is seeking someone to fill the position of Technical Circulation Assistant. The position was vacated in May, and a student has been hired to temporarily fill the position over the summer. We need a full-time person for the fall. Please be praying that we find the right person for the job. Operations/Masterplanning We continue to work toward construction of the new dormitory. Pray that all the elements would be kept on schedule. Ideally the construction crew would lose no additional days to rain or thunderstorms, but would be able to proceed as planned. Pray for wisdom as we make decisions on masterplanning, which will affect the direction of building and growth across the campus over the next few years. We have recently submitted an application for annexation to the Town of Purcellville, a necessary step for future growth. Pray that this application will be reviewed favorably. Summer Camps Please continue to pray for all the administrative and logistical things that go into making the summer camps a good experience for those who attend. Students Please pray for the students during the summer. Pray for their safety, and that the time will be a profitable time for them. Please pray for the new students that will be arriving in the fall. Pray that their transition to PHC will be smooth. Thank you again for your prayers. Furthermore, if we can pray for you, please send us your prayer requests, and we will pray for them during our prayer times.
