---------------------------------------------------------------------- From the HSLDA E-lert Service... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Dear HSLDA Members and Friends, For those of you who file your own private school affidavit (Form R- 4), we want to further clarify how to handle obtain this form. * You should first attempt to obtain a private school affidavit from your County Office of Education. Request your private school affidavit in late August or early September and file it between October 1st and October 15th. * Request the affidavit from the County Office of Education IN WRITING on your private school's letterhead. DO NOT call or go to your County Office of Education in person. If you cannot obtain the affidavit, please call our office. Asking you not to call or request the affidavit in person is a strategy decision. If you are refused an affidavit, contact HSLDA for further instructions. Very truly yours, J.
