---------------------------------------------------------------------- From the HSLDA E-lert Service... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Dear HSLDA Members and Friends, Home School Legal Defense Association thanks you for your loyalty and partnership with us. Only by working together can we defend home school freedom in Texas and across the nation. As you know, HSLDA has not raised its membership dues in over 15 years of operation. We've been able to keep the cost of membership low because you--our members- -have spread the word about HSLDA to your home schooling friends and family. In the face of steadily mounting legal and operational expenses, the best way to keep our membership rates down is to increase the size of our "family"--encouraging more home schoolers to join together in the battle for freedom. Toward that end, HSLDA is offering a special one-time incentive for new members at the 15th Annual Christian Home Education Association of Central Texas (CHEACT) Conference and Book Fair. First-time members who join at the conference receive $10 off their membership in addition to any HSLDA group discount (15 percent off the membership fee) and a free book. In addition, current members can renew for two years at the conference and receive a free book. Invite three of your friends to come to the conference and sign up as new members and you receive a free year of membership! The 15th Annual CHEACT Conference and Book Fair will be held June 21 and 22 at the PromiseLand Church, 1504 51st Street, Austin, Texas.
